Centrifugal Fan & Blowers

Centrifugal fans and blowers drive or draw air, gas, and raw materials through filtration & ventilation systems and many other process air applications. Manufacturing operations across industries depend on reliable fans and blowers to provide clean air, comply with pollution regulations, move air and/or material through their facilities.

How Centrifugal Fans And Blowers Work

Centrifugal fans and blowers either push air through a system (forced draft) or pull air through with negative pressure at the fan inlet (induced draft). Air, gas, and/or materials enter the fan inlet in the center of the fan housing and exits at the fan outlet perpendicular to the axis of rotation.

The motor drives rotation of the impeller wheel on a shaft within the fan housing. Fans and blowers are often direct-drive with the fan wheel mounted directly on the motor shaft or through a direct-coupled connection to the fan shaft. Belt driven options are also available where belts are used to connect the motor and fan shafts.

Our customers use industrial fans across many applications, including:

  • Dust collection & filtration
  • Material handling
  • Curing ovens
  • Furnaces
  • Combustion air
  • Induced draft
